ATLANTA – Tiger Woods has posted some staggering numbers over the years. On Thursday, that number was zero.
With a 3-over 73, Woods failed to post a birdie for just the seventh time as a PGA Tour professional and fourth time in a non-major championship. If you’re scoring at home, that’s 1,083 rounds as a pro and 1,076 in which he’s made at least one birdie.
The last time he didn’t have a single red circle on his scorecard came in the opening round of the 2010 U.S. Open.

The other occasions: 2007 Players (Round 1), 2003 Masters (Round 1), 1999 Open Championship (Round 3) and 1998 Tour Championship (Rounds 1 and 2).
Woods also failed to post a birdie in one PGA Tour-sanctioned round as an amateur, the final round of the 1995 Open Championship.
