Titleist 09 AP1 Multi-Material and Dual Cavity Irons

Titleist 2009 AP1 Irons offer a contemporary, confidence inspiring appearance in the playing position with soft blends, modern proportions and semi-underslung hosel. Key improvements to the new AP1 irons add forgiveness without sacrificing shot control - factors previously thought to be mutually exclusive. AP1 irons are more forgiving because of their more efficient, high MOI design while also featuring a more traditional appearance with a progressive blade length throughout the set.

The AP1 come standard with True Temper Dynamic Gold High Launch steel shafts or Titleist VS Proto-T 75 graphite shafts as well as Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips are available for righties and lefties in a 4-PW set. The dual cavity and multi-material design are a radical departure from anything Titleist has made in the past and have been designed with one key bit of player feedback at the forefront: feel. It covers the lower cavity and is designed to keep weight lower while giving players both good feel and added forgiveness. New for Titleist is a soft elastomer cushion and central cross-member, which translates into a nice, solid feel with muted vibration.
